Knightsbridge School

Knightsbridge School, an independent day school located in central London, is dedicated to providing a safe, modern and inspiring environment for its students. As part of their efforts to enhance facilities, the school embarked on a complete renovation of its six bathroom areas, focusing on improving functionality, durability and privacy for its diverse student body.

To meet these demands, Knightsbridge School specified Award cubicles, Vepps pre-plumbed panelling systems and Solid Surface Washtroughs, creating a robust, stylish and functional washroom environment tailored to the needs of a busy educational setting.

Award cubicles were selected for their exceptional durability and practicality, essential for withstanding the daily use of a school environment. Specified in Cornflower Blue HPL, these cubicles add a vibrant, modern aesthetic while maintaining functionality. Made from high-pressure laminate, the cubicles are highly resistant to impact and wear, ensuring long lasting performance. The smooth, easy-to clean surface promotes hygiene while reducing maintenance efforts, a key consideration in a space used by hundreds of students daily Importantly, these cubicles offer excellent privacy, fostering comfort and security for students of all ages.

For the WCs and urinals, Vepps pre-plumbed panelling systems were installed to optimise both functionality and installation efficiency. This feature significantly reduces installation times, which was critical for completing the project during the limited summer holiday period. Emma Haslehurst, from our accredited installers Haslehurst, highlighted the importance of this feature: “We used the Vepps IPS system here as we had a tight timeline to get 3 floors / 6 areas done in the summer holidays, so the pre-plumbed system reduces installation times.” Additionally, the system offers safe and secure duct spaces, with easy access for ongoing maintenance, ensuring a reliable and practical solution for the school.
