A manufacturing facility located in Staffordshire required a complete washroom package for office and factory staff due to existing facilities being outdated and challenging for the facilities team to maintain.
The staff toilets were positioned in a high-footfall area, meaning the washroom systems needed to be robust, easy to clean and make ongoing maintenance easier for the team to manage. The existing washrooms didn’t reflect or reinforce the company’s identity and required a design that provided both staff and visitors an inviting space to use throughout the day.
In order to reduce disruption to staff and to reopen the facilities as soon as possible, quick to install systems needed to be specified.
Simple yet striking, Unity toilet cubicles offered the perfect solution for the staff washrooms by combining great value without compromising on quality. Thanks to the cubicle’s flush-fronted design and self-closing hinge system, a high-end finish is achieved even when the cubicles are not in use.
The cubicle doors, pilasters and partitions were specified in ‘Weathered Grey’ wood effect High Pressure Laminate (HPL). HPL is durable, sturdy and impact resistant, an ideal material for high-traffic areas such as these, meaning they will stand the test of time. Unity features emergency release indicator bolts to gain rapid access to locked cubicles without the need to remove or damage cubicle doors, pilasters or locks. Anti-vandal aluminium fittings are also fitted as standard for added safety and to deter tampering.
Our ground-breaking pre-plumbed panelling system, Vepps, was specified for 50% faster onsite installation times compared to plain panel alternatives, meaning the facilities could open in good time. Vepps’ 90° linear-bearing hinges offer easy ongoing maintenance without the need to remove the access panels.
The client specified Vepps in 'Suede' to complement the wood effect cubicles and create a contemporary colour scheme that blends the plain and textured surfaces seamlessly. Factory-fitted sanitaryware, brassware and fittings were also handpicked from our range of industry-leading products, pre-plumbed and tested at our manufacturing facility before being installed onsite.
To replace the individual sinks, modern Solid Surface washtroughs in ‘Everest’ were installed to create a space-saving solution that could accommodate several users at a time. The washtrough is constructed from a non-porous, stain resistant material that requires fewer joins, making it easy to clean without impacting the material over time.
To complete the vanity design, Mirror Box Units were specified to maximise available wall space and eliminate the need for wall-hung washroom accessories. The contactless soap and paper towel dispensers reduce touch points and prevent germ transmission, while the stylish back-lit design adds a subtle glow around the unit to brighten the space and add a contemporary finish.
We’re thrilled to have supplied a complete washroom package that fulfilled the requirements set out in the brief and are sure both factory and office staff will value their newly renovated washroom facilities.
With a wide range of on-trend finishes to choose from, these new commercial washrooms feature the following colours.
